LAUNCHES THE
“INTERMISSION MISSION” VIDEO SERIES TO HELP SUPPORT

THE ACTORS FUND

AND THEIR SERVICES FOR THOSE IN NEED IN
PERFORMING ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT
SERIES BEGINS TONIGHT, FRIDAY, MARCH 20

New York, NY (March 20, 2020) – The Actors Fund, the national human services organization for everyone in performing arts and entertainment, announced today TodayTix has launched “Intermission Mission” beginning tonight, Friday,
March 20th at 6:00 PM. Viewers can watch on the TodayTix Instagram page here. The online series will showcase exclusive videos of very special at-home performances from members of the Broadway community. The first video will kick off tonight with Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford. Upcoming guests include Colin Donnell, Max von Essen, Jessica Vosk, Jenna Ushkowitz, Ethan Slater, Derek Klena, Nick Adams and many more. TodayTix will make the most of this intermission! As we face these unprecedented closures and try to muddle through life without the option of catching a matinee or heading to a nightly cabaret, TodayTix has launched this video series to continue to provide a regular dose of theatricality while giving back to these members of the theater community that are most affected.

CEO and Co-Founder, Brian Fenty said of the initiative: “As a company, we believer theater is a healing force that everyone should have access to, and that the magic of theater can be felt even now. By supporting The Actors Fund, we want to give back to the members of our theater community that are more affected. We hope you will join us for a laugh and a song and bring a part of the light this industry is made of.”

As the situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, The Actors Fund has temporarily transitioned to online and phone-based services, which remain available for everyone in the performing arts and entertainment community.  These services include: Artists Health Insurance Resource Center, The Career Center, Housing Resources, Addiction & Recovery, HIV/AIDS and Senior Services, Counseling and Emergency Financial Assistance, as well as The Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. To make a tax-deductible donation to The Actors Fund, visit www.actorsfund.org/Donate.
